One plan-covered mental health visit per year

CU Health Plan members can access one no-cost preventative mental health visit to assess your needs

Faculty, staff and dependents covered by a CU Health Plan can access one preventative mental health visit per plan year with no out-of-pocket costs.

The mental health visit covered by this benefit is intended as a preventative health visit, similar to an annual physical exam. As such, this preventative health visit is limited to any appointment with a qualified clinician intended to assess the patient's behavior or concerns and identify possible mental health challenges.

Please note: Any visit in which treatment is administered, such as a therapy session, qualifies as a regular clinical visit and will not be covered as a preventative mental health visit.

Eligibility: You must be in a benefits-eligible position, working 50% or greater time to enroll in and use this CU Advantage item. Eligible CU faculty and staff can enroll in, adjust or cancel their benefits during the annual Open Enrollment period or certain qualifying life events. Eligible new hires have 31 days after their hire date to select their benefits package.
