Hone your skills with Skillsoft Percipio’s AI Simulator

Achieving skill proficiency is a challenging and complex task. Luckily, practicing your skills is made easier with Skillsoft Percipio’s AI Simulator, CAISY. 

CAISY, a Conversation Artificial Intelligence Simulator integrated into Percipio, provides interactive, scenario-based content powered by AI where you can practice new skills in a safe space. Skillsoft Percipio is free to all CU employees and students.

Percipio’s AI Simulator allows you to choose a role, develop specific case-scenario skills by responding to AI prompts and receive adaptive, personalized feedback tailored to your development, in real-time.

To get started:

1. Log into the employee portal and go to the CU Resources area.
2. Select Training.
3. Click the Skillsoft Percipio tile.
4. On the left menu, select AI Simulator then click on your desired course.
5. Select Launch (you may need to allow browser pop-ups).
6. Expand the left navigation sidebar to optionally change your experience.
   1. Select the Scenario mode, choosing either:
      1. Practice: In this mode, you practice the skill presented by the simulator. Use this setting when you want to practice coming up with your own words and phrasing to handle the situation.
      2. Role model: In this mode, the AI Simulator models the skill based on you acting in the opposing role. Use this mode if you are not sure where to begin and want ideas for best practices.
   2. Select the Behavior mode.
      1. This setting guides how the AI simulator responds to your input. By selecting different behaviors, you can practice the same situation and get different AI responses to your input.
7. Read or play the case scenario introduction, then enter a response, either by typing or speaking.
