University Staff can accrue 22 days of vacation a year

I really enjoy being able to use my accrued vacation time to take time to re-energize myself and take care of my mental well-being so that I can come back to work ready to continue to do my best!

My feedback is that you should also mention that employees can 'bank' up to 44 vacation days before losing them, and that they don't roll over each year. It's a very friendly policy!

It has been great to get 22 vacation days per year. It would be even better if I could use them all! I seem to be part of the sweep every year, but I do my best to keep up.

CU's generous vacation leave helped me cover part of my maternity leave so I was able to comfortably spend the first few months home with my son without having to worry about my income being less than when I was working. I can't put a price on how valuable that time with him was, especially not having to worry a change in our monthly income.

I am SO thrilled that CU has such extensive PTO and sick leave available. It really eases my mind knowing I can stay home when I'm feeling under the weather or when my son is sick. It's also really, really good for my mental health to have PTO that I can use to take time off to rest and spend time with my family. Putting in for time off over the holidays gives me something to look forward to, allows me time to play fun activities with my family and overall just gives me a better quality of life and work/life balance.
