CU Boulder Transportation has you covered with subsidized fees and free parking with the vanpools program. Compared to driving, vanpoolers save hundreds of dollars a year on gas, maintenance, and parking fees. 

With only $20-$50 monthly fees, vanpooling is the perfect solution for saving money on personal transportation, providing a stress-free commute experience. Benefits of the vanpool program are:

• No wear and tear that comes with a personal vehicle. 
• Gas, insurance, roadside assistance, parking fees and maintenance are all paid for by your monthly fee. 
• Meet-up locations, routes and driving responsibilities are flexible and up to the van members to agree on.
• Driving responsibilities are shared by at least two or more vanpool members.

Vanpoolers in the Denver Metro area are serviced by Way To Go, with a $20 monthly fee for Front-Line employees and $50 for other employee types. Payments are deducted from the paychecks for full-time CU Staff. Most staff will have access to Way to Go. Review Boulder HR’s website for more information on front-line eligibility.  

Vanpoolers in the Northern Front Range (north of Longmont) are serviced by VanGo and will have varying fee rates depending on commute distance. Regardless of the program, all staff receive at least $35 in subsidies from CU and the City of Boulder. Contact VanGo for pricing and let them know you are from CU Boulder to get a quote with the subsidies applied.
