Carsharing is a fantastic option for quick and short-term travel, and CU Boulder’s Parking and Transportation department has got your back with discounted memberships, rates and fees through two carshare programs:

Colorado CarShare

Faculty and staff get a $25 driving credit after registering (onetime fee of $25) with their Colorado.edu email address and applying the promo code CU25CREDIT. In addition, Colorado CarShare offers reduced rates for vehicles from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 am. and has multiple plans available based on your transportation needs. 

Benefits of Colorado CarShare include:

•    Reimbursed gas costs.
•    On campus pick up and drop off locations.
•    Rates start at just $6.50/hour.

ZipCar

Faculty and staff receive a generous discount on the annual membership fee, bringing the cost to $25 instead of $70. Search for the “University of Colorado, Boulder (CU) – Faculty and Staff” group discount when signing up and use your Colorado.edu email. 

Benefits of the ZipCar membership include:

•    Zero gas costs.
•    Secondary insurance included.
•    Free maintenance.
•    24/7 roadside assistance.
•    180 free miles included per day ($0.67/per mile after that).
•    Join and book a trip in minutes with a valid driver’s license (must be 21 or older).
•    Convenient central locations across Colorado.
