Orthodontic for Adults Choice Dental

Adults age 19 or older enrolled in CU Health Plan - Choice Dental receive coverage for orthodontics

Braces can be a costly expense, especially as an adult. That's why CU offers coverage for adult orthodontics through one of our Delta Dental plans.

CU Health Plan - Choice Dental provides up to 60% coverage on orthodontic evaluations and treatments for employees, spouses/partners and children. In addition to children, adults age 19 or over are eligible for the orthodontic benefits with this plan. 

It's a benefit you can smile about.

Eligibility: You must be in a benefits-eligible position, working 50% or greater time to enroll in and use this CU Advantage item. Eligible CU faculty and staff can enroll in, adjust or cancel their benefits during the annual Open Enrollment period or certain qualifying life events. Eligible new hires have 31 days after their hire date to select their benefits package.

I thought I could never afford to fix my overbite and straighten my teeth because of how expensive braces are. Not to mention I had to have corrective jaw surgery to reposition my bite. I started this 4 year process in June of 2018 continued throughout the pandemic when I had my 1st jaw surgery September 2021. Unfortunately, I had to have a 2nd surgery November 2022, but thankfully nothing near the level as the fist. All I can say is I love the end results and because of CUD excellent benefits I now have a killer movie start smile.
